We have been working in Islington’s fantastic Thornhill Primary School since 2013, and many of our methods were piloted here. They also took part in March’s Two Rivers iPad Orchestra (see previous post).
As with all our after-school clubs, we have set up a soundcloud account for pupils to upload all their work. On the final session of term we challenged each pupil to ‘make a song to be remembered by’ using any of the apps they had used that term – Garageband, Thumbjam, Loopseque, Loopy and Madpad. We were as chuffed with the results as the pupils, in terms of the quality, originality and diversity of the compositions. Have a listen!
