In iPads, News, Teacher Training

We are very excited to announce details of our first training course, run in partnership with Mr Andrews Online-  ‘Primary Music for Games and Movies’.  The day will combine our musical expertise with the cross-curricular approach to raising standards developed by Chris Williams, founder of Mr Andrews Online, recently recognised as one of the top 3 blogs in the UK in Education. The course is designed for both music specialists and non-specialists. Teachers will leave with a wealth of effective, practical ideas that can be used immediately in the classroom. Activities will be based on best practice when using tablet technology to teach music with clear links to the New National Curriculum and a strong cross-curricular emphasis. Popular movie clips and digital games will be used as an engaging stimulus, and clear links will be made to the use of musical compositions to support the teaching of writing.

In addition, the course will also provide simple and effective methods to create digital portfolios of pupil compositions and share content with the world in easy to produce “web-albums.”The course will be held on Monday 7th July in Central London.
